A light, well-built phone with great battery life and support, held back by outdated cameras.

TechRadar80

A competent all-rounder with a pleasant screen and clean software, but it lacks wow factor, takes weak photos and is not a performance phone.

Tom's Guide80

A solid, premium-feeling budget Samsung with strong battery and software, but weak performance, a pointless macro lens and a price rise with little to show for it.

Tech Advisor70

A sleeker, more premium mid-ranger, but improvements are small and the price rise is hard to justify against rivals.
