Google Pixel 9 Pro

Google's best phone of the year and a benchmark for compact flagships, with superb cameras, display and much-improved battery life.

Excellent design, display and cameras with a fun AI showcase, though performance lags significantly and the phone can freeze or overheat.

A standout compact flagship with fantastic hardware, cameras and battery life that the reviewer calls among the best phones of its year.

A capable, AI-rich compact flagship that is nearly magical, held back mainly by Tensor G4 performance that trails rivals.

Brilliant compact phone in nearly every way, but weak battery life and slow charging are dealbreakers at this price, so the reviewer cannot fully recommend it.

An impressive compact flagship with consistently great cameras and handy AI, whose only real weakness is the Tensor G4 running warm and trailing on performance.

Superb cameras, AI features and two size options, but a slow Tensor chip, price hike and fingerprint sensor issues make it harder to recommend.
